Bocas del Toro

This is a trip you don’t want to miss! Join us July 13-20, 2019 for an epic island adventure in beautiful Bocas del Toro, Panama! Bocas has a laid back Caribbean vibe and offers easy access to modern amenities, undeveloped beaches, and indigenous culture — so you sacrifice nothing during your stay when you explore all of the beauty and nature that we’ll discover on this group trip.

Each day in Bocas starts with an optional sunrise walk on the beach and ends with sound healing and meditation by the water and/or a trip into town to explore the nightlife. We will do things as a group and also separately because we want everyone to feel at home. When you travel with the Nomads, you can do as much or as little as you want.

We want you to step out of your comfort zone and try new things in a safe environment surrounded by like-minded travelers. By the time you return home, you will be refreshed, renewed, at peace, a little more adventurous, and armed with some practical strategies for self care.

Make sure your passport is current and schedule your days for this trip of a lifetime!

Playa Tortuga

Let yourself be embraced by tropical beauty and the sounds of Bocas. Playa Tortuga Hotel & Beach Resort is located on the beach in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Set against a backdrop of dramatic ocean views, this full-service resort is a place to leave worries and distractions behind while enjoying gracious island hospitality, superb Panamanian and international cuisine, and exhilarating tours and activities. This is one of a few hotels where all rooms feature private balconies and amazing ocean views which make the perfect combination for relaxation and fun on an intimate beach in Bocas del Toro.

Dolphin Bay

Known locally as Laguna Bocatorito, Dolphin Bay has calm waters and is surrounded by mangroves, which draw an abundance of small fish and crustaceans into the water—this makes it a perfect habitat for dolphins, especially mothers and calves. The best time of year to see dolphins is June and July, when rough seas make the calm water of the bay especially appealing for dolphins. The dolphins are usually spotted in pairs, or in pods of five or six. There is a good chance of spotting dolphins, but even if if you don’t, we promise you’ll be pleased with this scenic bay.

chocolate from bocaS del toro

While Panama may not be among the largest of the world’s chocolate producers, it is certainly developing a reputation as a great producer of high-quality organic chocolate. In addition to the mesmerizing cacao fields and the jungle that surrounds the area, the range of plant life in Bocas del Toro is breathtaking.

experience bioluminescent magic

On very dark nights, before the moon comes out or while it’s behind cloud cover, we often see these amazing organisms in the bay. It is worth the short walk to the water’s edge to observe them. You can stir the water with a paddle/stick, jump on the dock, go for a swim or just sit in the total darkness and pay attention. On many nights you will see the little firefly-like flashes in the water.
